I do love Axel Scheffler's （he of The Gruffalo fame） illustrations and 'Freddy the Frog'， 'Lizzy the Lamb'， 'Katie the Kitten' and 'Pip the Puppy' do his illustrative reputation no harm whatsoever。Freddy has googly eyes， is small and fat and loves catching flies and generally loves to have a good time but what he loves best he does when the stars come out and the moon is bright and it would undoubtedly annoy his neighbours！Lizzy loves to have fun as she runs through the fields and skips in the s I do love Axel Scheffler's （he of The Gruffalo fame） illustrations and 'Freddy the Frog'， 'Lizzy the Lamb'， 'Katie the Kitten' and 'Pip the Puppy' do his illustrative reputation no harm whatsoever。Freddy has googly eyes， is small and fat and loves catching flies and generally loves to have a good time but what he loves best he does when the stars come out and the moon is bright and it would undoubtedly annoy his neighbours！Lizzy loves to have fun as she runs through the fields and skips in the sun。 She also gets splashed， chases rabbits and enjoys jumping very high but rather like Freddy she reserves some noise for others to hear whether they be near or far away！Katie has sleek， shiny fur， sparkly eyes and a lovely deep purr。 She can be bashful， usually during the day， but as evening draws in she loves nothing more that a prowl and she doesn't get scared by a woof or a growl。 But up on the rooftops she， too， lets her neighbours hear her all night long！Pip has a very loud bark and he scares all the cats when he walks in the park， He just loves woofing and he does it all the time and only stops when he goes to sleep。 He also scares the postman on a regular basis but he would love to spend the day woofing away！Good fun for the younger （and older） readers！ 。。。more
